We’re excited to announce a major update to the Multi Rating Pro plugin with version 5.2 pushed out today after over 4 months of development. This update includes a couple of small new features, 13 bug fixes and plenty of under the hood improvements and changes to support some of the new add-ons such as Gravity Forms, reCAPTCHA and a REST API coming soon. You may have also noticed this website has been updated with a new Add-Ons menu item. See the full changelog here.
One of the new features which has been on the TODO list for some time is the ability for users to decide that a rating item is not applicable or relevant when submitting a rating. This feature is now available. Simply set which ratings can be not applicable and a checkbox for not applicable will be added alongside the rating item in a rating form.
The reCAPTCHA add-on has been available for over a year now but it has never had a licensing system built into it. With the introduction of a couple new add-ons, the licensing settings in Multi Rating Pro has been updated so you can also add extra licenses for add-ons. The API has undergone some refactoring too in preparation for a REST API add-on coming soon. The Gravity Forms add-on will allow you to take advantage of one of the best form builders on the market integrated with a powerful rating system. Now you basically add any kind of custom field you want to the rating form such as a file upload.
We hope you enjoy this major update and the there’s lots of features on the v5.3 roadmap. If you’d like to see a new feature added included in the future, we’d love to hear it.
